Google's Internet Saathi

Neha Barjatya, Chief Internet Saathi says that the idea is to help facilitate digital literacy among women in rural India. Google, through its Internet Saathi program is teaching women in rural India how to use smartphones and giving them access to the internet and make learning more fun for students.

This initiative has trained 45,000 Internet Saathis across 150,000 villages, who have gone out and taught 1.5 million women on how to use the internet. Neha is creating a reliable network of technologically empowered individuals for socio-economic uplift of rural India.
