Education: The focus was on Education, with the COVID pandemic causing widespread disruption of school systems and potential inequalities caused by the digital divide. In India, a country-wide lockdown impacts more than 1.4 million schools, with 95% of the rural population served by government schools.
Environment: Our guest speaker Seema Paul, Managing Director of The Nature Conservancy Center, New Delhi, responded with her unique insights working with real solutions to protecting nature and people and creating a future in which both can thrive.
Health: Health expert Dr. Anagha Amte of Lok Biradari Prakalp (NGO) shared her unique insights about working with real solutions. It has never felt more urgent than now, during this COVID-19 global crisis which is devastating people’s lives & livelihood, to follow up on what we started together and further our shared goal of supporting humanitarian relief efforts.
Women: In this session, we wanted to put a spotlight on the ways individuals and civil society can respond to this need by creating awareness in more connected, equitable ways and to collectively ensure women and girls are, as a UN Report pointed out in April, kept at the center of the pandemic recovery.
