The Pandemic through the Gender Lens

The pandemic is not gender-neutral. It is having a disproportionate impact on the already existing everyday disparities women face in society. There is a need to look at this crisis through a gendered lens, to create awareness so we can address these issues and bring about change.
In this session, we wanted to put a spotlight on the ways individuals and civil society can respond to this need by creating awareness in more connected, equitable ways and to collectively ensure women and girls are, as a UN Report pointed out in April, kept at the center of the pandemic recovery.
